What do physiotherapists do?
Physiotherapy is a science-based methodology that means we consider a ‘whole person’ approach to the health and wellbeing of our clients so don’t be too surprised if one of our Optimum therapists asks you a lot of questions at your assessment as our goal is to get to the ‘root’ of your problem and this entails that we probe into areas that you may initially find irrelevant but actually helps us to build a complete picture of your situation.
We use many different modalities with physiotherapy such as soft tissue and joint mobilisation, exercise prescription, acupuncture, Pilates, myofascial taping as well as both electrotherapy such as muscle stimulators and TENS and mechanical therapies such as Ultrasound and Shockwave therapy to assist your recovery.
